f*ucking ripples

We’re accused on going too easy on terrorism suspects, and reading this and more like this, I can see why. Unbelievable.

‘”Mostafa, 44, was caught trying to board a plane at Manchester airport last July with a gas-powered pistol in his suitcase and given a suspended sentence.

He had been cleared of conspiracy to cause explosions following an MI5 sting operation in Birmingham in November 2000 when police uncovered a large amount of the explosive HMTD – the same substance used by the July 7 bombers. His co-accused, Moinul Abedin, was jailed for 20 years.

Mostafa was also cleared in 1996 of involvement in a terrorist bombing campaign after chemicals and equipment were found at his home, although he was he was sentenced to four years for illegally possessing a firearm. “‘

The mood is ugly already here, and things like this as well as the recession is just going to fan the flames. Do I really need to remind anyone of what happened to Germany, and the ripple effect, to the world, last century?

I used to believe we learned from history, but I’m getting less and less certain about that now. I now believe there’s no limit to human stupidity. And cruelty.

As to the blasting Brown got from the MEP Hannan, it’s been given more importance than it warrants. I’m no fan of Brown, but the other parties smell blood and a lot of the naysaying is based on that. Not saying they don’t have legitimate worries over the economy, but before anyone celebrates how Eurpoe is waking up, just be aware of the background first.

The UKIP, for instance – not exactly a party taken seriously. For good reason.

However, the news that O’s advisors are going to help Brown on his re-election, practically guarantees I’ll be voting for someone else. I was already swaying away from him on policies, so this link to that disgusting American campaign? No thanks.
