Thought-controlled robot Asimo

How very cool and frightening is this?

“Scientists at the Honda Research Institute demonstrated the invention today by using it to move the arms and legs of an Asimo humanoid robot.

To control the robot, the person wearing the helmet only had to think about making the movement. Its inventors hope that one day the mind-control technology will allow people to do things like turn air conditioning on or off and open their car boot without putting their shopping down.”

I read some books years ago about the future of space-flight, and it involved direct interfacing with computers. Sci-fi come to life yet again.

Well, there’s no denying it these days. We are entering the Terminator age!

Anyway, back to the depressing news I’m trying so hard to ignore – that O has landed here, along with his over 700 strong entourage. Including his basketball coach.

I’m desperately hoping that last one is just a rumour but with O, you just never know.
